i think the iPhone 4S is amazing. as a device, it is a huge accomplishment and is by far the greatest phone (in a few days) available. the power inside of the phone is outstanding.
but!
i think a redesign would've conveyed a much stronger message. after seeing what the iPhone 5 concept designs were, i don't think i'll ever see the iPhone 4S as great design. but don't get me wrong- the design is sill wonderful and timeless, just not iPhone 5 wonderful and timeless.
as far as the iPods... they're 'just there' for me. a great introductory product.
